New year's eve is here, all the traders and investors are planning their portfolios for the coming year. The investing continues and so does the stock trading, in this article we are highlighting some of the holiday lists of NSE and BSE. These holidays can help the traders to plan many things in advance. We will also discuss how to plan the clearing of stocks after the holiday. Firstly, let’s focus on understanding the meaning of trading and clearing holidays.
The trading holidays are the days when trading is not available at any point in time. There are no transactions executed and hence clearing is also not possible for the same days. However, on some of the days clearing is not possible due to bank holidays and those are the day that is open for trading, but clearing is a holiday. Both the terms are used interchangeably but it has a lot of difference.
